Our aims and objectives

Our basic philosophy addresses the Western secularist mindset that has failed to understand the relevance and importance of religious belief in promoting greater social cohesion and durable peace agreements.  Forward Thinking seeks to highlight the importance of religion as a causal factor and a solution to regional and communal conflict.

Our aim is to address the growing social, political and economic isolation of Muslim communities in the UK, and to do so by facilitating constructive grassroots dialogue between various communities and the British Establishment and wider society.  We believe that such dialogue can empower communities to pursue their own interests, decrease endemic discrimination, and at the same time counteract the alienation of vulnerable members of these communities.

Our aim is to assist communities in pursuing their interests on a local and national level, and, equally, to raise the awareness of the Establishment to their needs and interests.  Our ultimate goal is to empower communities to play a more proactive and constructive role both within their local community and wider British society.

We work to accomplish this goal by developing strong relationships with religious and orthodox members of various communities, engaging in dialogue with the young and disaffected, as well as offering activities aimed at the community as a whole.
