How we work in the Middle East

In the past year Forward Thinking has built on its successful methodology of initiating and maintaining separate dialogue with key Israeli and Palestinian leaders, both moderate and conservative. This dialogue has the dual purpose of enabling us to learn more about their positions and interests, while at the same time allowing us increasingly to provide them with access to policymakers within the international community and the positions held by their counterparts on the other side. Forward Thinking has succeeded in gaining the trust of religio-political and conservative leaders on both sides who have never engaged in dialogue and have been hitherto opposed to such ‘track two’ talks. In this current, somewhat unstable, context Forward Thinking is uniquely positioned to engage with the new leaders on both sides in genuine unilateral dialogue, and to create a framework for possible future bilateral contact.
