Huda Jawad in a discussion on Sahar TV

Huda Jawad, Nyon Process Programme Manager, was invited on 5 February to take part in a series of TV discussions on "Politics, Islam and the West" produced by IRIN / Sahar TV, which is an Iranian State satellite station.

Chairing the discussion and presenting the programme was Dr. Saeed Bahmanpour and the co-discussant was Dr.M. Jalali, professor of Islamic Philosophy and Mysticism at Muslim College London and former head of UNESCO.

The presenter explored a number of issues ranging from representation of Muslims and Islam in the media, mobilisation of grassroots communities, individual and communal rights, shared values, as well as the place of religion in political life.
